Silver Lake Basketball League

Silver Lake Basketball League is available to residents in 2nd grade through 8th grade. All athletes that sign up on time are guaranteed a roster placement. This is where we develop the fundamentals of basketball and it is highly recommended to our travel athletes as well. This is where basketball is learned and friends are made.

What is Silver Lake Basketball League?

Silver Lake Basketball League (SLBL) is our in-house league, or recreation league. We chose to rebrand this to start pushing a positive message back into the in-house league. This is for athletes to develop the fundamentals of basketball which is extremely important if you wish to take the next steps into travel or even AAU basketball. Our travel coaches depend on the fundamentals being known so that they can focus on play driven basketball. For travel athletes it is still strongly encouraged to play in the SLBL as its a fun atmosphere where fundamentals are taught and you can work on your game.

Basketball is a sport that truly builds through in-game reps, so adding 1 extra game a week is a great opportunity.

Practice & Games

Practices will vary depending on the division and season.

Winter:

Boys:
- 2nd: 1 group practice a week (all teams welcome) and 1 game a week
- 3rd - 4th: 1 practice a week, usually a shared court and 1+ game a week
- 5th - 6th: 1 practice a week, usually a shared court and 1+ game a week
- 7th - 8th: 1 group practice a week (all teams welcome) and 1 game a week
Girls:
- 2nd: 1 group practice a week (all teams welcome) and 1 game a week
- 3rd - 4th: 1 practice a week, usually a shared court and 1 game a week
- 5th - 6th: 1 group practice a week (all teams welcome) and 1 game a week
- 7th - 8th: 1 group practice a week (all teams welcome) and 1 game a week

Summer:
